Using BAdI for Master Data Export

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to implement a BAdI for Master Data Export.

Using BAdI for Master Data Export

Implementing a BAdI (Business Add-In) for a master data export involves extending the standard functionality of a delivered program in the SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA on-premise to meet customer-specific requirements related to exporting master data. Users can implement a BAdI to enhance the Master Data Upload Request, as required, to add custom fields to any of the standard extracts.

BAdI Name: ARBCIG_MASTERDATA

This is the common BAdI for all the master data extracts for SAP Ariba Procurement and SAP Ariba Sourcing that are covered under the ARBCIG_MASTER_DATA_EXPORT program.

Hint

When you enhance master data export for integration with SAP Ariba Sourcing, it is recommended to validate the schema.csv file updated with the added custom fields.

For more information about implementing a BAdI, refer to the SAP Documentation page How to Implement a BAdI.

To maintain the BAdI, follow these steps:

  1. Using transaction code SPRO, navigate to Integration with Other SAP Components>Managed Gateway for Spend&Network for Buyer>Master Data Integration>Enhancements>Business Add-Ins (BAdIs).
  2. Expand the Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) section and choose the IMG-Activity for BAdIs for Master Data Export.
  3. Implement the BAdI. The methods that can be implement are listed in the SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway Configuration Guide under Implementing a BAdI for Master Data Export.
