Describing the SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology

The SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology is designed to help enterprises to define and execute an enterprise-wide integration strategy. It provides companies with adaptable integration use patterns, best practices, and architecture blueprints.

There are two ways for applying the SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology: The templates based approach (you can find the templates in the documentation) and a tool-based approach using Integration Assessment. Now the question is when to use what: Best is to use the templates for sketching your enterprise integration strategy (also share and collaborate on it with your team). Next, you use Integration Assessment which allows you to execute your strategy by incorporating it into your integration practice / integration development life cycle.

As mentioned earlier, in today’s volatile and swiftly changing environment, Intelligent Enterprises depend on adapting a hybrid integration approach in order to successfully integrate all the various application scenarios within an enterprise. SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology covers all the integration dimensions in this ever-changing setting.

How can enterprises put this into practice?

For this purpose, the SAP Integration Solution Advisory Methodology structure is presented, as it provides the overall structure along four phases:

1. Assess your integration strategy.
2. Design your hybrid integration platform.
3. Define integration best practices.
4. Enable a practice of empowerment.

This enables your enterprise to change from a non-systematic integration approach (that is, when integration is not identified as an essential differentiator in your enterprise) to a systematic integration approach.
