Time Recording Process Flow Overview

The figure demonstrates an overview of the Time Recording (J12) process flow.

The workflow integrates an external system for time recording provided by the customer with SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Employees record actual working times, which can be transferred optionally. Project managers in commercial services and line managers can submit timesheets on behalf of employees. These working times are then approved, and team utilization is analyzed. Key roles include employees, project managers, and line managers, with functionalities for maintaining customer project billing and employee central integration.

Description

The Time Recording scenario provides employees with a quick entry method for recording time against customer or internal projects. In the time entry sheet, all work packages or work items assigned to the employee are visible. Non billable times can also be entered for full time accountability. Time recording on behalf of the employee and approval of time sheet entries is possible.
