The starting point of any transportation process are transportation requirements. The document that represents a transportation requirement in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition is called freight unit. Freight units can get created based on different objects/documents depending on whether the basic process is an inbound, outbound, or stock transport process.
The following base processes can create freight units:
- Sell from Stock (BD9)
- Sales Scheduling Agreements (3NR)
- Direct Procurement with Inbound Delivery (2TX)
- Stock Transfer with Delivery (BME)
- Lean Customer Returns (BDD)
- Warehouse Outbound Processing (3BS)
- Advanced Intercompany Sales (5D2)
- Advanced Intercompany Stock Transfer (5HP)
- Logistics with Third-Party Warehouse Management (1XQ)
