Major and new content in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Warehouse Management
With the development of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Warehouse Management, several major improvements were made in the core solution over time to enable more flexible, configurable business processes.
Handling Unit Label Extensibility on Header Level
With this feature you can print the handling unit label within a warehouse managed by Warehouse Management by using the application object Handling Unit (component: LO-HU).
This application object has all fields that are available in the application object WM Handling Unit. The application object Handling Unit can also be extended on the header level. Therefore, on the Warehouse Management side, the new Business Add-In Handling Unit Header Output Extension (/SCWM/EX4_OM_HU_EXTEND_HDR) can be used.
New SAP Fiori app for displaying serial number history
With the Serial Number History app, you can view the journey of a specific serial number
You can view all of the business documents that contain a specific serial number and access those business documents to see the details
As an inventory manager, you can use this app to locate a missing item or to track down where possible inconsistencies occurred
Extensibility Output Parameter Determination Warehouse Orders
With this feature you can create new custom fields for output parameters determination for warehouse orders.
The values for custom fields can be determined during runtime using the BAdI /SCWM/EX4_PM_OPD_EXTENDWO
Creation of Pick-Handling Units using the SAP Warehouse Operator
With the new release you can use the SAP Warehouse Operator Version 2.2. app to create and add a new pick handling unit to the warehouse order. You can scan an existing external handling unit number and add it as pick handling unit to the warehouse order.
Different types of barcodes are supported.
New visualizations have been added to the user interface such as progress bars of already picked items or the progress of warehouse tasks.
Recording of serial numbers
You can now configure whether the recording of serial numbers is mandatory or optional in the outbound process for materials with a serial number profile on document item level.
