Setting a Deletion Policy

After completing this lesson, you will be able to set deletion policies for closed cases, inactive users, and log files.

Deletion Policy and Case Management

By default, cases cannot be deleted; instead, cases that are closed will not appear in lists that display open cases. The Deletion Policy page allows administrators to change the deletion policy, including adding the ability to delete closed cases and inactive users. You can also set a deletion policy that specifies how long logs remain in the system. For example, you can indicate that monthly scheduled tasks logs are deleted once they are 365 days old, or that hourly scheduled tasks are deleted once they are ten days old.
