Describing Required Permissions

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe required permission in expense pay.

Permissions

Expense Pay is configured using the Payment Manager tool. Access to the Payment Manager tool is provided by the reimbursement manager or reimbursement auditor roles. These roles are assigned in the Permission Administrator tool.

More information on the capabilities of each role follows. Pay close attention so you know which role you are using for what tasks.

Reimbursement Manager

The reimbursement manager role is the primary role used to administer Expense Pay. This role grants the ability to configure funding accounts, card programs, reimbursement batches, and define settings related to the reimbursement process.

Furthermore, users with this role can view all batches, funding and returned amounts, the payment demand list, and the report payees list.

Note

This role is Group-aware, meaning it can be assigned to provide global access or access to specific groups. Only users with global access can create payment demands and view the status of employee bank accounts.

Reimbursement Auditor
The reimbursement auditor role is a restricted, view-only role designed to be used by your internal auditors. This role grants the ability to view funding accounts, batch configurations, card programs, settings, all batches, and funding and returned amounts. You can also see the payment demand list, the report payees list, and the employee banking status screens.

Note

This role is not Group-aware, meaning it can only be assigned to provide global access.
