Discovering the Go-Live Safeguarding Service

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to request the Go-Live Safeguarding service in a smooth and simple way.

The Go-Live Safeguarding Service

The Go-Live Safeguarding service offers four weeks of guidance and support as you transition from implementation to live operations of your SAP Commerce Cloud instance.

To help identify and address potential risks before going live with your production environment, you can request Go-Live Safeguarding, a four-week assistance service. It starts two weeks before the planned go-live date and ends two weeks after it. During those four weeks, the SAP Cloud Operations team works with you to verify production readiness of your subscription, ensures that it meets mandatory and recommended go-live prerequisites, advises on risk mitigation, and monitors post-launch stability of your solution. Assisted Go-Live Safeguarding doesn't replace your own go-live preparations, but complements them by providing structured oversight and SAP expertise.

Outcome

Upon conclusion of Go-Live Safeguarding, SAP provides an End-of-Engagement report with:

  • An executive summary.
  • A list of key findings and recommendations.
  • Application and infrastructure monitoring information.
  • An incident summary.

Prerequisites

To be eligible for Go-Live Safeguarding service, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Your SAP Commerce Cloud subscription is either a Standard, Professional, Enterprise, Composable, or Premier edition.
  • This is your first production environment to go live within a SAP Commerce Cloud subscription.
  • You, a partner, or the SAP front office team submit a request for service through a designated SAP channel for Go-Live Safeguarding two to four weeks before the planned go-live date.

Limitations

Go-Live Safeguarding doesn't replace comprehensive quality assurance or performance testing you do as part of your SAP Commerce Cloud setup. It doesn't include:

  • Penetration tests.
  • Fixes of system and application errors.
  • Reviews of architecture and third-party integrations.
  • Design, running, or tuning performance tests.
