Introducing the SAP Integration Suite

Integration Assessment helps consultants and customers define, document, and govern an organization-wide integration strategy. As part of SAP's Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, it helps teams evaluate integration requirements and determine which technologies and patterns should be used.

Migration Assessment analyzes integration scenarios in SAP Process Orchestration and estimates the technical effort required to move them to SAP Integration Suite.

The assessment itself does not perform the migration. After the scenarios have been evaluated, Migration Tooling, a feature of Cloud Integration, can help migrate supported integration objects from SAP Process Orchestration using pattern-based automation.

Cloud Integration enables developers to build and run end-to-end integration flows between applications in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

It supports application-to-application, business-to-business, and business-to-government scenarios and provides tools for routing, transforming, and exchanging messages between connected systems.

Integration Advisor helps teams create integration content for B2B, A2A, and B2G scenarios. It uses machine learning and a knowledge base of commonly used industry standards to recommend message structures, mappings, code lists, and other interface content.

Trading Partner Management helps organizations configure, operate, monitor, and govern integration scenarios with suppliers, customers, and other trading partners.

It works with Integration Advisor and Cloud Integration to manage partner-specific agreements, message formats, mappings, and communication settings. This can reduce the effort required to onboard and maintain trading partners.

API Management supports the API lifecycle, including designing, securing, publishing, monitoring, managing, and eventually retiring APIs.

It allows organizations to expose business capabilities through controlled APIs while applying policies for authentication, security, traffic management, and compliance.

The capability previously known as SAP Graph is now called API Composition. Its underlying functionality has not been replaced; SAP has updated the name to better reflect its purpose.

API Composition brings APIs from different systems together as a semantically connected business data graph. Developers can access the connected data through a unified OData V4 or GraphQL API and can extend the graph with additional APIs and data sources.

This is different from SAP Knowledge Graph:

• API Composition and the Business Data Graph give applications and developers a consistent way to access connected business data through APIs.
• SAP Knowledge Graph provides semantic relationships and business meaning that help AI systems understand and reason about business data.

Open Connectors provides prebuilt connectors for integrating SAP solutions with many third-party cloud applications.

These connectors expose standardized APIs that simplify connections to services such as Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Oracle, and other non-SAP applications. Open Connectors can be used together with Cloud Integration and API Management to support broader application-to-application scenarios.

SAP Event Mesh supports event-driven integration.

An event indicates that something has happened or that the state of a business object has changed. For example, an order has been created or an approval has been completed. Event Mesh allows applications that produce events to communicate asynchronously with applications or agents that consume them.

Cloud Integration may be used to transform or route the event data, while API Management can secure access to any APIs required by the resulting process.

SAP Connectivity enables applications running on SAP BAIP to communicate securely with remote services, including systems hosted on premises or in private-cloud networks.

For on-premises connectivity, the Connectivity service works together with SAP Cloud Connector. Cloud Connector runs within the protected network and establishes a secure tunnel to SAP BAIP without requiring inbound firewall ports to be opened. The organization retains control over which systems and resources are exposed.

The secure connection provides the communication path, while integration flows, APIs, or applications still manage the actual exchange of business data.
