Objective

The figure shows the components involved when analytical apps are used.
The area of business analytics specifically used in SAP Fiori is called SAP Smart Business. The core element there is the key performance indicator (KPI). A KPI is built on top of ABAP CDS Views and defines evaluations, tiles, and drill-downs. A drill-down is the visualization of a KPI offering predefined ways for the user to interact with the data – to drill-down.

For the setup of KPI Design (also referred to as Smart Business) in SAP S/4HANA, see SAP Note 2621243.
For each KPI Design app, an ICF node exists and one additional for the reuse library shared by all apps. The Gateway service for KPI Design apps is /SSB/SMART_BUSINESS_DESIGNTIME_SRV.
Analytical apps defined in KPI Design share the SAPUI5 app SBRT_APPSS1 and the Gateway service /SSB/SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME_SRV for their runtime.

Starting with SAP S/4HANA 1909, there is one central app available for managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for analytical apps: Manage KPIs and Reports [F2814]. The configuration details of these apps are available in the SAP Fiori apps reference library.
In this exercise, you will configure the analytical app, Manage KPIs and Reports.
