You can request SAP Cloud ALM on SAP for Me for yourself or for all entitled customers for whom you have sufficient permissions. The Prerequisites are:
- You have an S-user with the role Edit Cloud Data on SAP for Me.
- You can manage your users and authorizations by following the steps described in SAP for Me Online help – User management.
- You're assigned to the customer number.
The complete online documentation for SAP for Me can be found here.
The following slide shows the steps to request a SAP Cloud ALM on SAP for Me:

(1) As the requesting user, you're assigned as the Main IT Contact for SAP Cloud ALM by default. This user receives the SAP Cloud ALM welcome email and all necessary authorizations required for the initial setup and subsequent administrative tasks. So use a user that will later also configure the SAP Cloud ALM tenant!
(4) If the button start provisioning is grey, please hover over the button to find out the reason.
(5) The detailed information for this step can be found in the next Screenshot:

- EU Access
- This is flagged if you have an EU Access contract. Details on SAP Help Portal, SAP Cloud ALM: Availability.
- Region
Specify the geographical region in which you would like to have SAP Cloud ALM provisioned. This region corresponds to the location of the data center where your SAP Cloud ALM tenant will be deployed
An overview for all current available Data Center is available at SAP Trust Center – Data Center Locations. For the future planning of Data Centers for SAP Cloud ALM use the SAP Support Page – SAP Cloud ALM Data Centers.
- Subdomain
Enter a unique subdomain name. The subdomain name is used to create an SAP Cloud ALM-specific subaccount on SAP BTP and is also part of the URL used to access SAP Cloud ALM.
Caution
After the tenant has been provisioned, the subdomain can't be changed.
- SAP Cloud Identity Services (SAP CIS)
- If you don't have an existing productive Identity Authentication tenant, a new one will be created for you in the region you've selected above.
- We recommend reusing this newly created productive Identity Authentication tenant for other productive SAP cloud offerings (such as SAP S/4HANA Cloud) that you may want to use in the future.
- If you already have a productive Identity Authentication tenant, select it from the list.
Caution
After the tenant has been provisioned, the region can't be changed.
Result: You've requested the provisioning of an SAP Cloud ALM tenant. Under Provisioning Status, you can track the progress of your request.
The next slide visualizes the System Landscape after the provisioning process:

Additionally, a mutual trust relationship is established between SAP Cloud ALM and the selected Identity Authentication tenant.
SAP recommends a second SAP Cloud Identity Service(SAP CIS) for Test Purposes.
Caution
You can't subscribe to any additional products or applications or to services that aren't related to SAP Cloud ALM in the subaccount containing your SAP Cloud ALM subscription. The global account and the subaccount are set up exclusively for SAP Cloud ALM. Don't delete this subaccount or your SAP Cloud ALM subscription if you've already started using SAP Cloud ALM. Deleting your SAP Cloud ALM subscription will also delete all created artifacts, stored data, and current configurations.
Note
Additional Technical Users for administration, such as SAP Cockpit or Service Cockpit, may be created in your Identity and Authentication tenant (SAP CIS). If such a user is created, you'll receive a notification email. These users are used for applications onboarding. These users are used for applications onboarding in backend management systems and should not be deleted or changed. Because the user list may differ across tenants, always refer to this KBA Note: 3281767.
