What are the costs to get and stay certified?
The learners can get and stay certified with one single subscription to the enhanced SAP Learning Hub. A subscription offers access to expert guidance in live sessions, on-demand access to hands-on practice systems, enhanced analytics, four included certification exam attempts per year and assessments to stay certified. With one single subscription, you can get access to all resources you need to prepare for certifications, take the certification exams and stay certified – at better value than ever before. You can purchase a subscription on SAP Learning Hub or by contacting your SAP representative. SAP PartnerEdge members can learn more about and subscribe to SAP Learning Hub, partner edition.
In addition, you can also purchase one or six SAP Certification exam attempts. To stay certified, you have a simple path with a subscription to SAP Learning Hub, with access to short and easy yearly assessments.
Alternatively, if you don’t have an SAP Learning Hub subscription, you still have the option to purchase and retake an SAP Certification exam every year.
What is the difference between taking a certification exam and completing assessments to stay certified?
An SAP Certification exam is a comprehensive valuation of knowledge and skills required to earn a certification in a specific SAP solution or role. The exams are proctored and can typically take up to three hours. Candidates are required to answer 40-80 questions, out of which 60-70% correctly to pass the exam. If candidates fail the exam, they need to repurchase an SAP Certification exam attempt and retake the exam.
In contrast to SAP Certification exams, stay certified assessments are short, not proctored quizzes with unlimited trials. The assessment covers only the knowledge needed between releases to make sure learners stay continuously up-to-date with the solution updates. Additionally with the SAP Learning Hub subscription, learners have access to dedicated learning materials, like live sessions to prepare for the assessments. Stay certified assessments are accessible only with an SAP Learning Hub subscription.
If a learner doesn’t have an SAP Learning Hub subscription to complete the stay certified assessment, and their SAP Certification expires, they need to repurchase and retake the full SAP Certification exam.

What is SAP doing to safeguard the value of SAP Certification?
SAP Certification has worked closely with an advisory council of SAP customers, partners, and mentors to enhance the value of certification and improve exams. An increasing number of customers and partners consider certification a reliable benchmark to safeguard their investments.
However, SAP Certification is only one measure of expertise, and should not be considered the sole marker of proficiency in an SAP solution. Hands-on project experience, acquired skills, and educational background remain at the top of the list of most hiring managers for organizations and project teams.
SAP has achieved positive results by focusing on increasing the value of certification in several ways, including tying exams to valid job profiles, implementing industry-standard production processes, and increasing our engagement with SAP mentors and the SAP Community.
