Configuring Planning Specific Transaction Rules

Transaction Rules for Suppliers

SAP Business Network (formally known as Ariba Network) provides the capability to assign Forecast-specific transaction rules to different sets of suppliers or supplier groups.

An overview of these Forecast-specific transaction rules are provided in the table below:

Transaction Rule	Description
Allow suppliers to view forecast data	To allow suppliers to view forecast data, select Yes .
Allow suppliers to commit to forecast data	To allow suppliers to commit to forecast data, select Yes .
Forecast commit horizon, in days	To specify the number of days as the forecast commit horizon, enter a value.
Forecast commit lock horizon, in days	To specify the number of days as the forecast commit lock horizon,enter a value.
Use Time series end date to populate Forecast data	To use a time series end date to populate forecast data, select Yes.
Forecast commit time bucket	Select the relevant time bucket: All Daily Weekly Monthly Yearly

Setting Up Planning Transaction Rules

In the SAP Business Network, to set up the Planning Collaboration Transaction Rules for sets of suppliers or supplier groups, complete following steps.

Log in to the Buyer account in the SAP Business Network.
Choose Planning → Settings.
On the Assign suppliers tab, choose Add configuration.
Enter a name for the set of suppliers or groups.
To set transaction rules for sets of suppliers, select the radio button for Suppliers. To set transaction rules for suppliers groups, select the Supplier Groups radio button.
Select the Suppliers or groups.
In the Planning Process screen area, set the Forecast transaction rules.
