Introducing Quality Inspection Collaboration Transaction Rules

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to List the Quality Inspection Collaboration transaction rules.

Quality Inspection Collaboration Transaction Rules

There are two transaction rules directly related to quality inspection.

Transaction Rule 1: Allow suppliers to send ship notices only after receiving acceptance of inspection

If this rule is set to true, suppliers are prevented from sending ship notices for material goods without acceptance of the inspection results. This rule is useful when the buying organization wants to ensure that the supplier waits for the quality inspection results before creating ship notices and shipping the goods.(Caveat: If there are multiple schedule lines and if inspection lots are created for each schedule line, this rule applies until any one of the inspection lots has been accepted, after that supplier can send ship notice even if there are other inspection lots still open.)

Transaction Rule 2: Require suppliers to provide a quality certificate to ship notices

If this rule is set to true, suppliers must attach the required quality certificates to a ship notice. This rule can be used by the buying organization when they want to ensure that the supplier attaches quality certificates to the ship notices.
