Configuring SAP Commerce Cloud

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to set up SAP Commerce Cloud for master data replication with SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

SAP Commerce Cloud Configuration

After looking at the configuration of SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Cloud Integration, we're ready to move on to the first part of configuring SAP Commerce Cloud.

Integrating SAP Commerce Cloud requires the following steps:

  1. Add and configure required extensions and add-ons to your SAP Commerce Cloud installation
  2. Create and maintain trust relationships
  3. Import the data type values (customizing data) from SAP S/4HANA Cloud
  4. Configure SAP Commerce Cloud Backoffice settings
Steps for Initial Integration of SAP Commerce Cloud - Visual Guide: Add and configure required extensions and add-ons to your commerce installation, create and maintain trust relationships, import data type values (customizing data) from SAP S/4HANA Cloud, and configure SAP Commerce Cloud backoffice settings. Essential steps for starting SAP Commerce Cloud integration.

Let's discuss each of these steps in detail.

Add Required Extensions and Add-ons to your SAP Commerce Cloud Installation

SAP Commerce Cloud uses extensions and add-ons to communicate with SAP Cloud Integration for master data replication and order processing. For example, the SAP Framework Core module offers the functionality to develop and enhance integration extensions. While the SAP Model and Customer modules offer data replication and mapping options. The SAP Customer module extensions allow for the replication of customers and their contact persons in B2B scenarios, as well as the replication of consumers in B2C scenarios.

To enable additional functionalities in the integration of SAP S/4HANA Cloud with SAP Commerce Cloud, supplementary extension sets are needed, each containing numerous individual extensions. The specific extensions required for activation depend on the type of scenarios to be run.

To configure required extensions and add-ons on the SAP Commerce Cloud, you will need to edit the manifest.json file in the Git Repository and create a build on the SAP Commerce Cloud portal. Once the build is ready, it can be deployed to the target environment using the Data Migration Mode and Deployment Mode options. After successful deployment, you can check the loaded extensions and add-ons in the Hybris Administration Console (HAC).

Create and Maintain Trust Relationships

Trust relationships establish secure connections between known servers, whose identity can be confirmed by a signed certificate.

To configure the SSL support for SAP Cloud Integration with SAP Commerce Cloud, visit the Web UI page for your SAP Cloud Integration tenant, and export the SSL certificate from the browser. Save it to your local machine. Add the trusted certificate to the SecurityTrusted Certificates list on the SAP Commerce Cloud portal, and apply it to the target environment. For more information, refer to the Help documentation on Adding a New Trusted Certificate and Applying a Trusted Certificate to a Deployment Configuration.

Import the Data Type Values (Customizing Data) from SAP S/4HANA Cloud

SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Commerce Cloud need to exchange specific reference data such as Country, Language, Currency, Unit, Discount and Warehouse. To do this, import the customizing data using an ImpEx file, as outlined in 2726058. This process is crucial for setting up the B2B Order Fulfillment business process and may require adjustments if custom changes are made in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Configure SAP Commerce Cloud Backoffice Settings

To configure SAP Commerce Cloud Backoffice Settings, complete the following steps before replicating master data from SAP S/4HANA Cloud to SAP Commerce Cloud.

  1. Configure System Connections for SAP Integrations

SAP integrations require HTTP and RFC destinations. Configuring these connections involves procedures in SAP Commerce Cloud and your SAP system.

  2. Define an SAP Base Store and Global Configuration

SAP Base Store contains specific configuration data that defines the relation between SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP backends. SAP Global Configuration exists only for the installation.

  3. Common Settings in Backoffice for SAP Integrations

The common settings in Backoffice Administration Cockpit contain settings, used for multiple scenarios and functions. This includes settings for required languages, catalog versions for SAP S/4HANA Cloud import, product replication and warehouse assignment to base store.
