Replicating Master Data from SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to discuss the steps to replicate master data from SAP S/4HANA Cloud to SAP Commerce Cloud.

Master Data Replication

After successfully configuring each solution, we are prepared to replicate master data from SAP S/4HANA Cloud to SAP Commerce Cloud. Note that the replication of master data was highlighted as the initial step in the integration scope, as discussed in lesson 3.1. To carry out this process, we will utilize the data replication framework. Follow the outlined steps to initiate the replication of master data.

Master Data Integration Steps between SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP S/4HANA Cloud - Visual Guide: Select master data using filter criteria and replication model, and evaluate the replicated data. Essential steps for integrating master data between SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP S/4HANA Cloud
  • Select Master Data using Filter Criteria and Replication Model
    • Create a business role in SAP S/4HANA Cloud using the SAP_BR_ADMINISTRATOR_DATA_REPL template and assign it to the administrator.
    • Set filter criteria for various entities, such as business partners and materials, using replication models in the Data Replication app group.
    • Ensure the accuracy of the requirements before initiating the data transfer to SAP Cloud Integration and then to SAP Commerce Cloud by choosing Replicate for each model.
  • Evaluate the Replicated Data

Once the data has been replicated from SAP S/4HANA Cloud to SAP Commerce Cloud, it is time to evaluate the replicated data. Logging into the SAP Commerce Cloud Backoffice as an administrator allows you to evaluate several types of data such as business partners, contacts, materials, characteristics, prices, discounts, and stocks.

Verify the accuracy of the replicated data by using the Administrator cockpit. Confirm that business partners are displayed as B2B units, contacts are shown as B2B customers, and other details to ensure the data was copied and transferred correctly.
