Evaluating the Integration Process

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to Identify the integration implementation process scope, requirements and initial preparation steps for an SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Commerce Cloud integration.

Integration Scope

Scope for the Integration

During Unit One(within the Common Integrated Processeslesson) multiple integrated process workflows between SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP S/4HANA Cloud were explored. This unit offers a simplified representation or scope of an SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP S/4HANA Cloud integration implementation process.

The integration scenario, covered in the this unit, begins with the replication of master data to SAP Commerce Cloud. The conveyed material and stock, business partner, and related contact person are used for the creation of a sales order in the B2B webshop of SAP Commerce Cloud. Later, the sales order is replicated to SAP S/4HANA Cloud for fulfillment, and a sales order confirmation is sent back to SAP Commerce Cloud.

Advanced versions of this process will be offered in other courses.

Locate more information about these and other processes by visiting SAP Best Practices Explorerwith the scope item B2B Order Fulfillment with SAP Commerce Cloud (2TY).

Cloud Integration Automation Service

Cloud Integration Automation Service

The setup instructions, offered in this unit, are intended to manually configure the integration between SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Commerce Cloud, using SAP Cloud Integration.

To assist in simplifying your processes, we strongly recommend preparing the integration implementation by using the Cloud Integration Automation Service (CIAS). With the included project management tool and complementary support information, CIAS helps reduce the time needed for manual configuration tasks; many which are customer-specific and must be implemented by customers or integration consultants / developers.

Cloud Integration Automation Service (CIAS) provides a guided workflow, featuring the following:

  • Customer-specific system information (for example, target URLs)
  • Reusable configuration settings between tasks
  • Automated execution capabilities

Learn more about CIAS, or discover the steps to start a new workflow with the Cloud Integration Automation Service Launchpad by viewing this short video.

Preparation Steps

Preparation of the systems

To make the integration between SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Commerce Cloud possible, specific preparation steps must be completed before starting with the configuration of the systems. The following image describes the appropriate preparation steps for each system.
