Depending on the needs of (a certain part of) the business, a customer can decide to implement warehouse management in addition to inventory management. This allows the customer full visibility of what materials are stored where.

On the other hand, a customer can also decide to only implement inventory management and NOT implement a warehouse management solution at all. By doing this, quantity-based management of stocks is still executed, but the information of where exactly these materials are stored is not available. For certain materials or certain parts of the business, this might be sufficient.
