After completing this lesson, you will be able to explore the key metrics and analytics provided by SAP SuccessFactors Territory and Quota’s Dashboards for administrators.

Key Metrics and Analytics Provided by Territory and Quota’s Dashboards for Administrators

SAP SuccessFactors Territory and Quota offers administrators a reporting dashboard for each territory that provides key statistics and insights about the territory program.

The Territory Dashboard for Administrators is displayed.

Access the Dashboard

Steps

  1. Navigate to Territory AdminTerritory Programs

  2. Select the Territory Program for which you wish to open the dashboard.

  3. Navigate to the Dashboard tab.

  4. Select the Date for which you wish to see the territory data under the Key Metrics Dashboard.

    By default, the selected date is the current date. If you select a different date, the tab is refreshed to reflect data relevant to the selected date.

Widgets

There are several widgets available with the dashboard, with each widget providing a different set of data. Some of the widgets can have their size adjusted, and some widgets can be moved.

The following widgets are available:

Territories

The Territories widget provides the following information:

  • Total number of territories
  • Number of roll up (manager) territories and rep level (leaf-level) territories
  • Top territory of the territory program
  • The user who owns the top territory if a position is assigned

Territory Program at a Glance

The Territory Program at a Glance widget provides the number of territory alignments for each of the following:

  • Accounts
  • Products
  • Geographies
  • Rules
  • Positions

Quota Insights

The Quota Insights widget provides the following information:

  • Quota methodology - top-down or bottom-up
  • Indicates whether the quota has been distributed, and if so, by whom and when
  • Aggregated rep quota for each target type
  • Aggregated roll up quota for each target type

The Difference in Percentage Between Aggregated Roll Up Quota and Aggregated Roll Up Quota for Each Target Type - The formula is as follows:

(rep level quota-Roll up quota)/ rep level quota) * 100

The Quota Insights Dashboard Widget is displayed.

Analytics and Reports

The Analytics and Reports widget is collapsed by default. When you expand it, you can access direct links to several Territory Management and Quota Management reports in the Embedded Analytics service for SAP SuccessFactors Territory and Quota.

  • Territory Quota Attainment Report
  • Territory Overall Quota Report
  • Territory Quota NEW Report by Account
  • Territory Quota NEW Report by Product

You must contact SAP Support to enable this widget, and it is only available to administrators.

The Analytics and Reports Dashboard Widget is displayed.

Overall Quota Assigned

This widget graphically depicts the top 5 territories or the bottom 5 territories according to overall assigned quotas. This widget can help you analyze the current quotas and determine if you can improve the situation. The pie chart is updated based on the options you choose from the following filters:

  • Territory Types - Choose between All, Rep Level, or Roll Up Territories.
  • Order Types - Choose either Bottom 5 Territories or Top 5 Territories.
  • Target Types - Choose from the available target types.
The Overall Quota Assigned Dashboard Widget is displayed.

Quota Attainment

This widget graphically depicts the top 5 territories or the bottom 5 territories according to the overall quota attained. This widget can help you analyze the current quotas and determine if you can improve the situation. The pie chart is updated based on the options you choose from the following filters:

  • Territory Types - Choose between All, Rep Level, or Roll Up Territories.
  • Order Types - Choose either Bottom 5 Territories, Top 5 Territories, Bottom 5 Positions, or Top 5 Positions.
  • Alignment Types - Choose from the available alignment types in your application.
The Quota Attainment Dashboard Widget is displayed.

Territory Program Opportunities

This widget graphically depicts the value of opportunities for the program or selected territories. The default view displays attainment data for the entire territory program. Select a single territory from the Territories list to view attainment data for that one territory. To view potential attainment for a specific position, select the desired position record from the Position dropdown list. The system will load all territories for which the selected position is assigned in the Territories dropdown. The bar chart is updated based on the options you choose from the following filters:

  • Target Types - Choose from the available target types.
  • Territories - Choose All or a specific territory.
  • Position - Choose All or a specific position.

The values in the bar graph are displayed based on the period setting. Based on the period setting and whether quota dimensions are set, the following occurs:

  • Quota Dimensions aren't set for the territory program, then the period values are displayed evenly in the graph.
  • Quota Dimensions are set for the territory program, but with period phasing as not set, then the period values are displayed evenly in the graph.
  • Quota Dimensions are set for the territory program with period phasing as set, but the quota isn't distributed, then the period values are displayed as zeroes in the graph.
  • Quota Dimensions are set for the territory program with period phasing as set, and the quota is also distributed, then the period values are displayed per the period phasing percentages.

Accounts by Territory

This widget graphically depicts the top 5 territories or the bottom 5 territories according to the number of accounts aligned to the territories. The pie chart is updated based on the options you choose from the following filters:

  • Territory Types - Choose between All, Rep Level, or Roll Up territories.
  • Order Types - Choose either Bottom 5 Territories or Top 5 Territories.
  • Alignment Types - Choose from the available alignment types in your application.

The Include Null/0 values option is unselected, by default. When this option is unselected, only territories that do not have null/non-zero alignments are considered. When this option is selected, null is considered as absence of a value and '0' is displayed for territories with no alignments.

The Accounts by Territory Dashboard Widget is displayed.

Products by Territory

This widget graphically depicts the top 5 territories or the bottom 5 territories according to the products aligned to the territories. The pie chart is updated based on the options you choose from the following filters:

  • Territory Types - Choose between All, Rep Level, or Roll Up territories.
  • Order Types - Choose either Bottom 5 Territories or Top 5 Territories.
  • Alignment Types - Choose from the available alignment types in your application.

The Include Null/0 values option is unselected by default. When this option is unselected, only territories that do not have null/non-zero alignments are considered. When this option is selected, null is considered as absence of a value, and '0' is displayed for territories with no alignments.

The Products by Territory Dashboard Widget is displayed.

Geographies by Territory

This widget graphically depicts the top 5 territories or the bottom 5 territories according to the number of geographies aligned to the territories. The pie chart is updated based on the option you choose from the following filter:

  • Territory Types - Choose between All, Rep Territories or Roll Up.
  • Order Types - Choose either Bottom 5 Territories or Top 5 Territories.
  • Alignment Types - Choose from the available alignment types in your application.

The Include Null/0 values option is unselected by default. When this option is unselected, only territories that do not have null/non-zero alignments are considered. When this option is selected, null is considered as absence of a value and '0' is displayed for territories with no alignments.

The Geographies by Territory Dashboard Widget is displayed.

Positions by Territory

This widget graphically depicts the top 5 territories or the bottom 5 territories according to the number of people assigned. This widget can help you determine if you need to rebalance the teams managing these territories. Hover over the pie chart to view a territory and its specific rep-level territory count. The pie chart is updated based on the option you choose from the following filter:

  • Territory Types - Choose between All, Rep Territories or Roll Up.
  • Order Types - Choose either Bottom 5 Territories or Top 5 Territories.
The Positions by Territory Dashboard Widget is displayed.
