The following video is a short introduction to integrated planning with SAP Analytics Cloud.
Objective
The following video is a short introduction to integrated planning with SAP Analytics Cloud.
There are a few prerequisites that you will need to be aware of before importing and exporting data between SAP S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Before you can import source data from SAP S/4HANA, an import connection must be created and the OData services must be activated by the system administrators.
Note
The Cloud Connector is not required for a connection to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Edition.Visit the SAP Help Portal for more information on Import Data Connection to SAP S/4HANA
OData services in SAP S/4HANA can be accessed by users with the relevant permissions. Administrators can use SAP Transaction SPRO to access the Activate and Maintain Services for OData connections or navigate using the following menu path: SAP Reference IMG → SAP NetWeaver → SAP Gateway → OData Channel → Administration → General Settings → Activate & Maintain Services.
The SAP S/4HANA connection is used to import master data, import transaction data, and export transaction data. The only exception is when importing data from SAP S/4HANA Finance for group reporting, an OData connection is used.
The connections displayed in the following images are examples that are intended to provide you with details on the import and export connections that will be used in the practice exercises in this course.
Note
The import and export connections that are required for implementing integrated planning with SAP S/4HANA are created by IT Administrators. Only users with specific permissions will see the Connections icon in their vertical navigation.Log in to track your progress & complete quizzes
