In many cases, the most common activities and transactions can be initiated in multiple ways.  Work items, for instance, can be viewed from the Work Items menu or from the My Work Items card. Similarly, job postings can be  started either by selecting the contingent labor option  in the sidebar menu, choosing Job Posting, and then selecting the  Create Job Posting button on the list page. Alternatively, you can select the Create  option in the sidebar menu, Then choose Job Positing for Worker from the Contingent Labor card. The most direct route, however, is to select the Create Job Posting link on the My Job Postings card. This will go directly to the setup page of a Job Posting. The menu options available on the vertical navigation bar are not meant to be direct routes to create those items. Instead, they offer ways to access, review, and edit important data. To illustrate this, select the Contingent Labor menu option and we'll take a look at a job posting. [music] Go ahead, select Contingent Labor on the menu. It won't bite! [music] Okay, not a problem. I'll go head and select it for you. Now, select Job Posting from the Contingent Labor menu. [music] It's okay, select Job Posting from the Contingent Labor menu. You're not going to break anything. [music] That's fine, I'll select it for you. Generally, menu selections will open list pages similar to this one. The list pages list all of the records available for the selected transaction. Transaction records are listed in rows, with important identifying characteristics appearing in columns. The Job Postings list, for example, indicates the status, ID, title, site, business unit, cost center, start and end dates, and whether a worker has been  hired for the listed position or if a worker is available. To make searching data easier, SAP Fieldglass only displays To make searching data easier, SAP Fieldglass only displays data records created within a certain timeframe. If you need to find an older record, you would select the date field immediately under the period heading and enter an appropriate  start date for the search. In order to easily navigate to a particular item, most of the columns can be sorted or searched to easily pinpoint a particular item based on characteristics. For example, select the drop-down  field under the status heading. [music] Don't be shy, go ahead and select the Status sort dropdown. [music] That's alright, I'll select it for you. Now let's sort the list to see the job postings that are currently on hold. [music] Give it a try. Select the halted option. It's excited for you to select it! [music] Not a problem, I'll go ahead and select it for you. List pages also allow certain actions depending on the transaction that was selected. Most of the actions are contained in the ellipsis menu at the top right of the page, which displays  the additional options available for the records. Some list pages, such as this job posting list, as well as the Statement of Work list page,  include the ability to create a new record. In this case, the page includes a button that allows you to initiate the creation of a job posting. Most list pages include links to review individual records. In this case, the links are in the ID column. The specific column that includes links, though, differs depending on the data object you want to review. To review an existing job posting, select the one you need to review from the list of links in the ID column. [music] I know you're curious about that job posting. Go ahead and select it. [music] That's okay. I'll go ahead and select it for you. The link for an individual record opens up the job posting. The details and options available in an individual record will vary depending on the record itself, but most contain tabs, links, and  references to other associated data. Each record will indicate its status, and the next step required to continue the respective process. In this case, both refer to the process the job posting must follow in order to procure a worker. Specific to a job posting, its ID is also displayed,  as well as the period in which the required worker will be engaged. A progress trail is also provided and is selectable so you can get a brief summary of what steps must still be completed to fulfill this job posting. This information is always displayed, regardless of what tab of the record you happen to be viewing. Other types of records, such as those for a particular worker or an invoice, may display different types of information, but status is common to all records. When a record is first opened, it opens on the Summary tab, which offers a high-level overview of the job posting. The remaining tabs correspond to specific types of data that comprise a job posting, such as information on any  identified job seekers, rate details, the trail of approvers,  and and so on. For instance, if you want to  see the list of suppliers who have received the job posting, select the Distribution tab. [music] Go ahead and select the Distribution tab. It'll be a learning experience. [music] Not a problem. I'll go ahead and select it for you. From this tab you can see that this job posting was only distributed to two Tier 1 suppliers. Records also allow you to perform certain actions through the buttons available at the top right on the page. Selecting the Actions button, for example, displays a list of options you can take on the record, including editing, copying, and closing the position, among other actions. Most SAP Fieldglass records include a form of breadcrumb trail to allow you to quickly return to the record list  or to an associated list. So to reach any point within the navigation of the module, you would select an appropriate link to go to that page. And of course, you still have all of the other navigation options still available, so you can easily get to another type of data record from just about any page.
