Hi and welcome back. My name is Wim Frankena. I'm a Senior Product Manager at Linux and I will walk you through the Linux EAM workspace. Now let's jump into the tool and see the Linux EAM capabilities one by one. Your entry point to your Linux workspace is the dashboard, which provides an overview of important metrics and reports. At the top of the screen you will always see a navigational panel. This panel lets you easily switch between the different tabs such as Dashboards, Inventory, Reports, Diagrams, and Collaboration. A Linux dashboard is a visual display that offers a centralized overview of important metrics, performance indicators, and relevant information within your workspace. Which dashboard can be seen as default is configured by the Linux admins. In the drop-down menu, you can access further dashboards, predefined either by Linux or by your organization's admins. These dashboards provide a real-time view with key insights related to your organization's enterprise architecture and can contain KPIs, reports, and diagrams. This supports data-driven decision making and helps monitor the performance of the architecture. The Inventory is a centralized repository that stores and organizes information about all architectural elements in the form of so-called fact sheets. Fact sheets are one-pagers that document relevant information about an organization's IT landscape and architectural elements. In the inventory, you can create and edit fact sheets. You can search for any information in the inventory by simply typing the keywords in the search bar. You can also find the filter, one of the fundamental core features in the inventory. You can filter fact sheets based on your requirements, and this allows for multi-dimensional filter logic to reduce complexity and scope the solution space. Clicking on a fact sheet will open it for viewing and editing. The next tab is Reports. Reports allows you to visualize data captured in the fact sheets in an aggregated, structured, and visually appealing way. They are the key feature in Linux to analyze your organization's enterprise architecture data efficiently, providing insights to all kinds of stakeholders and make data-driven decisions. In this tab, you will see the predefined reports such as application portfolio report and application landscape reports, as well as many other ones. You will see more reports further on in the course. Let's jump now to diagrams. Diagrams in Linux are a popular way for enterprise architects to create a visual model of the structure of enterprise architecture and data flows using the data from the Linux inventory. You can learn more about the diagrams and the examples in our documentation. Last but not least is collaboration. The collaboration tab serves as a centralized place to view and access all the shared to-dos and tasks, being worked on collaboratively with others in Linux EAM. Now, let's have a look at other users who typically have a member role in LenaX. CIOs and IT leadership use LenaX to gain a holistic view of the IT landscape, as well as KPIs of IT performance, helping them identify areas for optimization, develop the IT strategy, and ensure that IT supports the business in the best possible way. Application and business owners. They are the main contributors to LenaX from a business side who need to provide data on the applications that they are responsible for. Their information is key to understand how IT supports the business to make data-driven decisions for improvement. Application owners typically support with information on applications and their relation to organizational entities and business capabilities. Business owners own the business process that leverages applications. They typically assess the functional fit of an application in Linux. Transformation and program managers are needed if you use Linax for technology transformations.
