Let's now delve deeper into the configuration part of LenaX and discover how to establish a strong foundation for reliable and trusted data governance. I'm Wim and I will guide you through this lesson. Let's start by navigating to your profile. Click Administration and within the basic settings select MetaModel Configuration. You are now in the area where admins can adjust and change the foundation of their LenaX workspace, the MetaModel. As a default, we provide the latest MetaModel recommendations for new workspaces. As an overview, you will see the 12 different faxitypes, their description, and the defined renewal periods for the quality seals. While it is recommended to use the existing meta model, however, you are able to add new faxitypes in case your organization setup requires them. Beyond that, you are able to customize the existing ones. For any newly created type, the possibility to delete them is available as well. Lastly, you are able to change the order the faxitypes are presented in by using the drag-and-drop functionality. To adjust an existing fact sheet type, simply click on its name, in our case, application. Even though the configuration works the same for each fact sheet type, similar to a fact sheet itself, the configurations differ from type to type and can be set up separately for each fact sheet type. To change the default settings in the field section, click edit. You can now change the displayed color, maximum hierarchy level, and enable or disable on the fly creation. If you enable on the fly creation, you can create new fact sheets outside of the regular fact sheet creation window. For instance, when defining a new relation and the target fact sheet does not exist yet. The second tab allows you to provide individual translations for the fact sheet type itself. Admins can modify individual fields and customize fact sheets based on their user's preferred languages. However, it's important to note that non-admins can choose a language in which they operate within Linux. There are five languages available, English, German, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. While Linux offers these default translations for all standard fact sheet types and attributes across various languages, administrators need to manage translations for newly added custom attributes manually. This feature is intended to make the tool more accessible and increase its speed of adoption within global operations. Within this panel, you can also specify the term to use for a particular fact sheet in singular or plural form. On the third tab, you can select and define which facets you wish to show by default for this fact sheet type. It will show up in the inventory filter sidebar. This configuration overrules the global default defined by admins. Once users configure their own facets via the manage facets option in inventory, they will only see those personalized custom facets until they select reset to default again. In the fourth tab, you can configure the completion weights. It indicates the completeness of store data within that fact sheet. Adjusting them enables you to adapt the weight of an attribute. A higher value will contribute more to the completion score of the fact sheet. Setting the value to zero will ignore the attributes in the completion score calculation and mark it as optional on the fact sheet. As an example, we want to ensure that each application fact sheet has at least a name, a description, and a lifecycle defined. Therefore, we set all weights to zero, except for name, description, and lifecycle, which are set to one. When we now switch to the AC management application fact sheet within the inventory, we can observe that the completion score displayed as a percentage at the top of each fact sheet is 50%, indicating that the description and name are already set, but the lifecycle is currently missing. Upon adding this information, the completion score at the top will change to 100% according to our defined completion weight setting. This score is a crucial step towards achieving high data quality and is typically used as a metric or KPI for data quality across the entire workspace. To get an overview of the current state of the entire workspace, you can use the Lena X reports. As an example, open application landscape report and change the view to completion to assess the data quality of your application landscape clustered by business capabilities. Coming back to the MetaMod configuration within the Fact Sheet body configuration, you can add or remove sections and subsections, create or remove relations, add, adjust or delete fields or field values.
