Personalized Search Profile

In this video, I will show you, how to make a search profile become a personalized profile. For this demo, I have created a search profile testSearchProfile1, which is not in the activation set for the electronics website.  Currently, there is a promoted product, DSC-W180 in testSearchProfile1. Furthermore, I have a registered customer canonlover@hybris.com, who belongs to the target group canonLover. Open and login to smartedit with admin credentials. Click the homepage for electronics online, make sure you are in the personalization mode, navigate to Library, Manage Library.  Expand CategoryLovers customization. Click the button for canonLover target group, and choose Commerce Customization. In the popup window, choose Search as the commerce customization action, and select testSearchProfile1,  then click the Save button to apply the changes. Open the electronics composable storefront, choose any customer login, click on compact cameras, you will find DSC-W180 is not promoted, which means testSearchProfile1 does not work now. Now, let’s login to the electronics website with customer canonlover@hybris.com, who belongs to the target group canonLover. DSC-W180 is promoted this time, therefore the personalized search profile is working! Thanks for watching!
