We want to add the details of the company code cluster data like cluster label and coordinates to our Fact View and Analytic Model for reporting. The coordinates TSNE_X and TSNE_Y will be visualized as a cluster in the SAP Analytics Cloud dashboard.
At the conclusion of this lesson your Graphical View will look like the following:

Prerequisites
- You prepared the company cluster data.
- Installed the company_code_cluster data product to your space.
- You are logged on to SAP Datasphere.
Join Views
We have chosen to use the Actual Cash Flow Currency Role Currency (HL) view as our source due to the potential it provides with Cashflow actual data, Company Code data and Currency data in one fact view.
-
Select Data Builder in the side navigation area. Choose your space if necessary.
-
Select the New Graphical View tile, opening the view editor.

-
In the Repository tab, search for Actual Cash Flow Currency Role Currency (HL) and drag it onto the canvas.

-
Search for the company_code_clusters object, and drag and drop it onto the Actual Cash Flow Currency Role Currency (HL) node to join the two views.

-
Select the new JOIN node.
In the Join Properties side panel:
- Leave the Join Type to Inner
- Set the Cardinality to Many for Actual Cash Flow Currency Role Currency (HL) and One (0,1) for Company Code Clusters
- The two views were automatically joined by Company Code. No action is needed

Add Projection
Exclude columns of the joined views that are not required in the output node for future analysis.
-
Select the Projection node.
-
In the Properties side panel, select the Company Code key column, then choose More (…) and Exclude Column.

-
Select the non-key Company Code, then choose More (…) and Restore Column.

Define Fact View
-
Select the output node View 1 on the canvas, and go to the properties side panel.

-
Enter the following names for the fact view:
- Business Name: Actual Cash Flow Currency Role Currency
- Technical Name: FV_ActualCashFlowCurrencyRole
-
Don’t change the Release State.
Release State is an optional feature. It provides stable objects consumers can use with confidence.
-
Change the Semantic Usage to Fact.
-
Set Expose for Consumption to ON.

-
Under Attributes select TSNE_X, then choose More (…) and Change to Measure.
To define the cluster coordinates as measures.

-
Repeat the step for TSNE_Y.
-
Adjust the aggregation type for both TSNE_X and TSNE_Y measures to NONE.
Aggregating the cluster coordinates is not meaningful.

Add Associations
An association can be created from any table or view to any other table or view at any level of the data layer.
Define the relationships between the fact view and the SAP delivered dimensions. The dimensions are stored in the space BDC_S4H_EXT and shared to your space.
-
In the properties side panel, scroll down to the Associations section.
-
Select the Create Association ‘+’ button and choose Association.
The Select Association Target window opens.

-
In the Select Association Target window, search for sap_s4h_CurrencyRoleCurrency.
-
In the search result list, select sap_s4h_CurrencyRoleCurrency (Technical Name) and then choose Select.

-
Review the Mappings section (an automatic mapping is done for matching column names).
Ensure that the Currency Role Currency columns are mapped.
-
Select the More (…) downward chevron to the left of the slash in the header area, and select Actual Cash Flow Currency Role Currency.
Return to the Associations section.

-
Repeat the steps to create additional associations with
- sap_s4h_CompanyCode, default mapping on Company Code
- sap_s4h_Country, default mapping on Country Region
- SAP.TIME.VIEW_DIMENSION_DAY (shared from space BDC_S4H_EXT), and map Transaction Date with Date (key)
-
Validate that Associations section list four entries.

Save and Deploy
When you save an object, it is stored in the SAP Datasphere repository. During a deployment, the object is created as a run-time version for use in the SAP Datasphere database.
-
Select the Deploy icon in the header menu.

-
Confirm the names in the dialog pop-up and Save it.
- Business Name: Actual Cash Flow Currency Role Currency
- Technical Name: FV_ActualCashFlowCurrencyRole
-
A notification window appears informing on the deployment status.
-
Ensure the view is deployed before you continue.

Preview the Data
View the actual cash flow data with the joined cluster coordinates.
-
Select the output node and choose the Data Viewer operator in the popup menu.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a Fact Graphical View.
