Persona

This lesson outlines the process of installing the Working Capital Insights Intelligent Application, and the extra configuration steps needed.

We will simulate the steps through guided tours as the Working Capital Insights Intelligent Application has already been installed, and additional configuration applied.

Note

Your user does not have the Administrator roles assigned; therefore, the instructions in this lesson are for read-only purposes.

Prerequisites

  • None.

Install the Intelligent Application

In this section, we view how to install the Intelligent Application from SAP Business Data Cloud cockpit.

  1. Access the guided tour and follow the steps to install the Intelligent Application.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Search for the Working Capital Insights Intelligent Application
    • Install the Intelligent Application

    Start the tour here.

Configure SAP Datasphere

In this section, we view the configuration needed in SAP Datasphere.

You can find more information here.

Note

Your user does not have the Administrator roles assigned; therefore, access to Security is not granted.

Update Scoped Roles

Two new scoped roles were created on installation of the Intelligent Application:

  • BDC_Scope_Space_Admin
  • BDC_Scope_Consumer
  1. Access the guided tour and follow the steps to add business administrators to the BDC Space Admin (BDC_Scope_Space_Admin) scoped role.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Search for the BDC Scope Space Admin role
    • Add scopes
    • Add users

    Start the tour here.

  2. Access the guided tour and follow the steps to add users to the BDC Consumer (BDC_Scope_Consumer) scoped role.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Search for the BDC Scope Consumer role
    • Add scopes
    • Add users

    Start the tour here.

Fill the Permission Table

To enable data access for Working Capital Insights users, the SAP Central Permissions (sap.s4h.DAC_CustomerPermissions) table needs to be updated.

Explanation

If Data Access Control is not properly populated, the users will not be able to see any data (data preview in SAP Datasphere, or in SAP Analytics Cloud story consumption). There are 12 rows governing 12 criterion. If five users need access, then the e-mail addresses of all five users must be repeated with each of these 12 criterion. That is, 5*12 rows where the column User_Id will contain the user’s email address. The names of the columns or criterion cannot be changed and must be uploaded accurately.

Note

Your user does not have the BDC Space Admin role assigned; therefore, the instructions in this lesson are for read-only purposes.
  1. Access the guided tour and follow the steps to fill the permissions table.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Access the SAP S/4HANA Content space
    • Search for the SAP Central Permissions table
    • Import user data from a csv file

    Start the tour here.

Run the Tasked Chains

To ensure that SAP Datasphere is configured properly to support the Working Capital Insights Intelligent Application, run the delivered task chains. The task chains will trigger multiple transformation flows.

In the SAP S/4HANA Content (SAP_S4H) space, there are two task chains:

  • Initialize Working Capital Configuration (sap.s4h.TC_InitWCIConfiguration)
  • Net Working Capital Persist (sap.s4h.TC_NWCPersis)

Note

Your user does not have the BDC Space Admin role assigned; therefore, the instructions in this lesson are for read-only purposes.

Before running the task chains, grant yourself access to do so.

  1. Access the guided tour and follow the steps to authorize user consent.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Update your use profile
    • Authorize consent to run task chains

    Start the tour here.

  1. Run the Initialize Working Capital Configuration (sap.s4h.TC_InitWCIConfiguration) task chain.

The task chain maintain the configuration tables.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Search for the Initialize Working Capital Configuration task chain
    • Run the task chain
    • Monitor status

    Start the tour here.

  1. Modify the Financial Data Model Configuration (sap.s4h.IL_FinancialDataModelConfiguration) table.

Semantic tag assignments are used to calculate some KPIs in the Working Capital Insights Intelligent Application, and we need to update the G/L Account to support the tags.

For our configuration we add GL Account Hierarchy Z900.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Access the SAP S/4HANA Content space
    • Search for the Financial Data Model Configuration table
    • Update the table entry

    Start the tour here.

  1. Run the Net Working Capital Persist (sap.s4h.TC_NWCPersis) task chain.

The task chain store an intermediate result for the Overview, Liquidity and Cash, and Inventory story pages.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Search for the Net Working Capital Persist task chain
    • Run the task chain
    • Monitor status
    • View the status of both task chains and dependent transformation flows

    Start the tour here.

Manage Access in SAP Analytics Cloud

Next, we view how to manage access in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Note

Your user does not have the BI Admin role assigned; therefore, the instructions in this lesson are for read-only purposes.
  1. Access the guided tour and follow the steps to manage access in SAP Analytics Cloud.

During the guided tour, you will:

    • Add a user in SAP Analytics Cloud
    • Share the content folder to select users
