Creating Categories for Registered Products

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to configure a category for a registered product in SAP Service Cloud Version 2.

Categories for Registered Products

Finished products sold to end consumers are categorized based on the industry or the type of products. For example, for a bicycle manufacturing company, the categories of finished products could include:

Category Examples
  • Road bicycles
  • Mountain bikes
  • E-bikes
  • Foldable bikes

Note

To create a Registered Product in the system, you must first create a Category of a Registered Product for it to go into

Administrators can configure the categories of finished products in SAP Service Cloud Version 2 by navigating to SettingsRegistered ProductsCategories

Follow these steps to create a new Category for Registered Products:

  1. Enter the new Category ID
  2. Enter the new Category Description
  3. Enable the Serial ID Optional
