- App Overview: SAP Warehouse Logistics is a native mobile application fully integrated with SAP Logistics Management, specifically designed to assist warehouse operatives with daily processes.
- Device Compatibility:
- Android: Requires version 8.0 or newer.
- iOS: Requires version newest.
Installation and Secure Onboarding
- Downloading the App: Users can search for "SAP Warehouse Logistics" on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Initial Connection: To connect to the correct system, users must scan an onboarding QR code.
- Security Protocols:
- Onboarding the app requires a user in the respective IAS and the respective credentials.
- The app supports an optional passcode to lock/unlock the app, which can be configured through Mobile Services.
- Users can also enable biometrics methods for faster, secure access.
- Warehouse Selection: Upon first login, users select a preferred warehouse from a list. While currently open, future updates may restrict this list based on user personas or authorizations to prevent errors.
- Work Queue Selection: On the Home Screen, you’ll be prompted to select your work queue. Alternatively, you can change it anytime in Profile & Settings -> Queue section.
Finding and Starting Tasks
Operatives have four primary entry points on the start screen to locate work:
- Next Task: Immediately starts the next available task in the user's Assigned Queue.
- Queues: Allows the user to select a specific work queue from a list (e.g., if a manager assigns them to cover a colleague’s queue).
- Delivery: Users can enter a specific outbound delivery number found on physical delivery notes to pull all associated tasks.
- Specific Task: Users can find a task directly by entering its unique Display ID.
Executing the Picking Workflow
Once a task is selected, the operative must go to the source bin and tap"Start Task". This will assign operative as a task processor.
- Step 1: Source Bin Validation: To ensure the operative is at the correct location, they must use one of two methods:
- Manual Validation: The app displays three randomly generated numbers. The operative must identify and tap the one that matches the last two digits of the physical source bin.
- Camera Scan: Tap the scanner icon to use the phone’s camera to read the bin's barcode.
- External Scanners (Android only): external scanners, such Zebra and ProGlove devices, can be paired with an Android device for barcode scanning.
- Step 2: Product Validation:
- You can use the above three methods to validate the product.
- Validation Logic: Validating a product once validates it for the required quantity.
- Note: Progress Indicators: A green bar appears next to sections (source bin, product) once they are successfully validated.
Exceptions and Task Confirmation
- Editing Quantity: If the full quantity is unavailable, the user can tap the Edit button to enter the available quantity and then select "Save".
- Changing Destination: If the assigned destination bin is full or blocked, the operative can enter a different destination bin to update the system automatically.
- Final Confirmation: Once all bars are green and the task is confirmed, the task is complete, and the app directs the user to the next task.
Profile, Settings, and Analytics
- Dashboard: The home screen features a dashboard showing the number of tasks completed in the last week (e.g., a 7-day view from the 13th to the 19th of January).
- Profile Menu (Top-Left Corner): This area allows users to:
- Change Warehouse/Queue: Switch work locations or assignments.
- Troubleshooting: Upload logs for administrators to investigate technical issues.
- External Scanners: (Android only) Configure and enable Bluetooth scanning devices.
- Legal & Feedback: Access the EULA, Privacy Statement, or send feedback to the development team.
