The Cash Advance feature gives users the ability to ask for cash before taking a trip or spending company money.
- If issued, the cash advance must be attached to a later expense report and the system will offset cash expenses against the cash advance.
- If the user has more cash left over after their expenses are filed, the system may let them use the remaining cash on future expense reports or force them to return it.
- Some customers do not allow for cash advances or only allow them in specific situations:
- Customers with corporate cards may not allow for cash advances.
- Users with corporate cards may not be allowed to request cash advances.
- Cash advances may only be allowed when traveling to certain regions, for example, where credit cards are not widely used/accepted.
- If your company allows cash advances, you may be able to ask for one as part of the request process or as a separate process.
- If your company has linked cash advances and requests, the system can be configured to let the user indicate how much they need, or have the system calculate it based on the request total. The following examples show the user indicating the amount.
