Filtering by Group

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to filter the search results by group in the processor tool in Concur Professional Request.

What Are Groups?

Groups are used to organize users for functionality and regulatory reasons. The user’s group assignment determines how the system behaves for that user.

Note

A user can only be assigned to a single group.

Groups are typically created by country. For example, users in the U.S. may have different travel rules and options than users in Germany or the UK.

In the Request Processor tool, groups can be used to filter the results of any query you run, whether ad-hoc or saved query.

Note

You can only filter by one group at a time.

How to Filter by Group

In this example, you will see how to use group filters to only see requests by U.S. users, then only UK users, and, finally, clear all filters.

Steps

  1. Search for all requests.

How to Filter by Group

Now that you've seen the steps on filtering by group, watch the following video for a demonstration.

Summary

  • Groups are used to organize users within Concur Request for both functional and regulatory purposes, affecting system behavior based on group assignment; each user can only belong to one group, typically defined by country.
  • In tools like Request Processor, groups can be used as filters to view query results for specific user groups (e.g., U.S. or UK users), but only one group filter can be applied at a time.
  • To filter by group: perform a search, use the Group button, select the desired group (e.g., US or UK), and review filtered results; filters can be easily cleared to return to viewing all records.
