SAP Joule for Consultants is a SaaS application, built on the SAP Business Technology Platform. Before a customer or consulting organization can access the tool, a specific set of technical and commercial conditions, or prerequisites, must be in place.
This lesson lists those prerequisites clearly. You will also receive links to key resources and setup guides.
Prerequisites
Technical Requirements
- Global Account on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP): The solution is deployed within a dedicated sub-account of the organization's global BTP account.
- Cloud Identity Services (CIS) tenant on IaaS: This is the identity and authentication layer for user access. Supports SSO login via company email or manual login with username and password.
- BTP sub-account in region EU10 or EU11: This is a data residency requirement. Sub-accounts in other regions require a dedicated EU10/EU11 sub-account for this deployment.
Commercial Requirements
- Valid Commercial Agreement with SAP: Valid Commercial Agreement with SAP: Provisioning begins only after the agreement is finalized. No free trial is available. Contact your account executive to initiate.
- SAP AI Units included in the Commercial Arrangement: AI Units are the consumption-based SKU used to license SAP Joule for Consultants.
User Access
- S-user ID for Gated Content: Access to SAP Notes, Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), and Simplification Lists requires an S-user ID. Users without one can still use the tool but cannot access this restricted content.
