Publishing Clauses

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to publish new clauses to the Clause Library.

Clause Publication

Clause publication makes clauses available for use during contract authoring. When a clause is created or edited, it must be published before it can be used in a contract workspace. Until then, it remains in draft status and cannot be included in contract documents.

To publish a clause: Choose ActionsPublish in the Clause Library.

Best Practices:

  • Only publish clauses that are fully reviewed and approved.
  • Avoid frequent edits to published clauses to minimize unnecessary versioning.
  • Use meaningful clause names to simplify version tracking.
  • Republish clauses when legal language or policies are updated.
