Clause publication makes clauses available for use during contract authoring. When a clause is created or edited, it must be published before it can be used in a contract workspace. Until then, it remains in draft status and cannot be included in contract documents.
To publish a clause: Choose Actions→Publish in the Clause Library.
Best Practices:
- Only publish clauses that are fully reviewed and approved.
- Avoid frequent edits to published clauses to minimize unnecessary versioning.
- Use meaningful clause names to simplify version tracking.
- Republish clauses when legal language or policies are updated.
