There are various ways you can interact with Joule, and how Joule can assist you.

  1. Informational, also known as Conversational Search: Do you have a question about company policy like travel expenses, or need to find details in a document? Joule can search both the SAP Help Portal and company-specific documents uploaded through the Document Grounding feature. It summarizes the findings and includes links to its sources. This is useful for finding quick answers without extensive searching.
  2. Navigational: If you know you need to go to a specific report or an application, but don't want to click through multiple menus, just tell Joule! It will take you directly to the right page or app, saving you time.
  3. Transactional: This is where Joule helps you get things done. You can ask it to create a new purchase requisition, approve a workflow, or update employee data. It helps you finish business tasks.
  4. Analytical Insights: For those of you working with data, Joule can tap into SAP Analytics Cloud to answer questions about your business data, presenting them as easy-to-understand charts and metrics. For example, you can ask "Show me sales by region for Q2 2025".
  5. Be creative: For example, you could ask Joule to come up with talking points for a meeting.
