Exploring the People Profile User Interface

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to access the different components in the People Profile user interface.

Introduction to People Profile

Maintaining employee records has never been easier with the easy-to-navigate People Profile. With the proper permission, anyone can find an employee’s profile using the universal Action Search.

People Profile interface allows user to view/edit employee-specific data.

The latest People Profile displays employees' data organized through cards, each offering a summary of specific information. These cards are grouped into preset categories for easy navigation. You can access a detailed view of each piece of information from a card. Additionally, administrators can configure custom cards and organize them into custom categories.

In the People Profile, you can view and edit a person’s personal and employment information on one simple consolidated page.

Personal and Employment Data

HR data comprises personal and employment-related information organized within predefined objects provided by SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. These objects include key features such as effective dating, country-specific fields, and support for custom fields, ensuring both flexibility and compliance.

Personal Information

Personal Information encompasses non-business data about the employee, including national ID, address, biographical details, and contact information. This information is displayed in separate cards in the People Profile under the Personal Data category.

Your organization can determine which fields are required and, using Role-Based Permissions, decide who can view or edit this information. The Person Objects table below summarizes the features and functions of the standard person objects.
