Setting up SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing

Basic Setup of SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing

Steps

  1. Subscribe to SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing.

    • Navigate to your subaccount.
    • In the navigation pane, open Services → Service Marketplace.
    • In the Search field, enter SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing and choose the tile
    • Choose Create.
    • In the popup, the service and plan are preselected for you. To subscribe to the application, choose Create.

    You can make configuration settings in the Configure Omnichannel Promotion Pricing app once the subscription is finished. Choose the three dots icon, and in the Application Plans section, choose Go to Application.

  2. Set up roles and authorizations.

    To use the apps provided with SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing, you must create a role collection and assign users to it. With the Configure Omnichannel Promotion Pricing app, you can maintain various parameters to influence the behavior of the Calculation service. With the Maintain Promotions app, you can create promotional rules and define, for example, eligibilities and rewards. Using the apps isn't part of these tutorials.

    • Navigate back to your subaccount.
    • In the navigation pane, choose Security → Role Collections.
    • To create a new collection, choose the plus icon.
    • Enter a name and a description and choose Create.
    • From the list, select the role collection that you've just created and choose Edit.
    • Under Role Name, select Configure_OPPS and from the dropdown list, select Maintain_OPPS.
    • Assign User or User Groups to your role collection and choose Save.
  3. Create service instances.

    • Navigate to your subaccount and the space in which you want to create the service instances.
    • In the navigation pane, choose Services → Service Marketplace.

Promotion Pricing, Administration - This service allows users to delete obsolete promotional rules and regular prices. Promotion Pricing, Calculation - This service lets users calculate effective sales prices by applying promotional rules. Promotion Pricing, Data Access - This service offers the capability to read promotional rules and regular prices. Promotion Pricing, Data Upload - This service allows for the uploading of promotional rules and regular prices. On the left-hand side of the interface are navigation options, including Applications, Services, Service Instances, SAP HANA Cloud, Routes, Security Groups, Events, and Members. The space is designated as dev - Marketplace, and there are filters available for capabilities and statuses.
    • In the Search field, enter promotion. All four Promotion Pricing services appear. The following services are offered with SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing:
      • Promotion Pricing, Administration
      • Promotion, Pricing, Calculation
      • Promotion Pricing, Data Access
      • Promotion Pricing, Data Upload
    • Choose the Promotion Pricing, Calculation tile.
    • Choose Create.
    • In the popup, most of the options are already selected for you. Enter a name for your instance and choose Create.
    • Repeat substeps 3 through 6 for Promotion Pricing, Data Access and Promotion Pricing, Data Upload services.
  4. Create service keys.

    • Navigate to the space where you’ve created your service instances.
    • In the navigation pane, choose Services → Instances.
    • Select the instance you've just created.
    • Choose the three dots icon and select Create Service Key.The image is a screenshot of a service instance management interface.     • In the popup, enter a name for the service key and choose Create.
    • Repeat the above substeps for the remaining Promotion Pricing services.

Result

After you've created the service key, choose the three dots icon next to the name of your service key and choose View. The parameters of the service key appear. To configure the SAP Business Accelerator Hub to fill the solution with your data, you need these parameters (see the outlined areas in the screenshot).
