Introducing Automations in the SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement Platform

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to Create SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement Automation programs that help you improve your customer engagement journeys and strategies..

SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement Automation Programs

With SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement you can create automated customer engagement journeys designed to create pathways. This approach uses flexible and interconnected nodes with an entry point that goes through actions and channels until reaching an endpoint. You can find four types of programs.

Please note that the available automation program types, event triggers, and nodes may differ depending on your packaging or implementation.

Automation Center Overview

Automation Center allows designing, validating, and automating engagement programs ranging from simple transactional mailings to sophisticated, multi-step, multi-channel programs via an intuitive user interface. It helps you target an extensive contact base and pre-schedule campaigns based on lifecycle data activities. Let’s discover the three workspace node categories in the Automation Center.

  1. Workspace: Here, you can build and edit your program. This is a custom-built win-back inactive customers program.

  2. Workspace Actions Bar: You can connect and disconnect nodes, make bulk actions by selecting an entire path or nodes separately and move, copy, paste, delete, or deselect them.

You can add custom names and comments to any nodes and even tag your colleagues, who will be notified on the platform or via email.

  3. Program Settings: You can schedule, set program-level participation and select a segment to exit your program once they meet the specified criteria.

  4. Program Status: Once the program is ready, you can test or activate your program. You can change your active programs' status to paused, frozen, or finished.
