User Roles in SAP Commerce Cloud

In SAP Commerce Cloud, several user roles have various levels of access and user interfaces to help them carry out their responsibilities. Here are the main roles:

  1. Administrator: Someone responsible for system administration and backend monitoring. They also have editing rights to the front-end storefront. They use the following user interfaces:
    • HAC (Hybris Administration Console)
    • Backoffice Administration perspective
    • SAP Commerce Cloud Portal
  2. Business User: This role encompasses several functional sub-roles, such as Product Manager, Website Manager, and Customer Support Agent. These roles are the audience for this Beginner’s course. The video below explains these roles in greater detail. They use the following user interfaces:
    • Task-specific Backoffice cockpits and perspectives (for example, the Product Cockpit)
    • SmartEdit
    • ASM (Assisted Service Module)
  3. Developer: This is an IT professional who writes Java code to customize the back-end of SAP Commerce Cloud. They use the following interfaces:
    • HAC
    • Backoffice Administration perspective
    • SAP Commerce Cloud Portal
