SAP Certification

Migration of SAP SuccessFactors Professional badges to SAP Learning.

This change will allow us to show the correct professional level for certified learners, who were previously listed as "associates". This process will be completed at the end of 2025.

User and license management

  • License management UI
Our new license management UI ("Admin Console") is now live for all SAP Learning Hub contracts, starting from June 30th, 2025. Further enhancements have been made to support scalability and user management.

    Key benefits:

    • Large customers can assign licenses to new users in minutes, bypassing manual support processes.
    • Eliminates the complex redemption code process.
    • Key user and entitlement management functionalities have been transitioned to a modern environment based on SAP Business Technology Platform.
    • We have also simplified SAP user management for partners by making Learning Hub license and learning history information visible for "self-registered" partner learners.

  • Multiple license assignment
The license management UI now supports the assignment of more than one license to the same learner. When a learner is about to receive their second license, the administrator will see a warning informing them of this. A new "information" icon informs you of the contract scope that the admin console covers.

SAP Learning Hub analytics dashboard

  • A new version of the SAP Learning Hub analytics dashboard has been launched, which significantly improves performance, user experience, and reporting.
    Key improvements:
    • Unified data access: Seamless integration of data from both the SAP Learning Site and the SAP Learning Hub Content Library, enabling consolidated analysis and comprehensive reporting.
    • Performance: Improved dashboard load and export times for a faster, more efficient user experience.
    • Data exploration and export: Enhanced options for exploring and downloading learning activity and certification data. Default table structures and filter options have been redesigned for simplicity and clarity, including several predefined export formats for certification data.
    • Improved user experience:
      • Introduction of new interactive charts.
      • The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) section now displays "Estimated Hours", replacing the "Number of Items" for clearer measurement.
      • “Active Learners” and “Average Hours Spent per Learner” are now combined into a single, comprehensive chart.
      • "Learning Achievements" page brings together Certifications, Stay Certified details, and Records of Achievement.
    • Advanced filtering: New page filters available by "Solution Area", "Country/Region", and "Learning Format".
    • Learner grouping via "Custom Fields": When using self-service SAP Learning License Management, you can use four "Custom Fields" to group learners.
    • KPI accuracy: Improved logic for calculating "Pass Rate", "Estimated Hours", "Number of Accessed Learning Formats", and "Compliant UID".
    • Updated "Learning Type Status" logic: An SAP Learning Journey or course will stay "In Progress" until all elements are completed.
    • "Country /Region" update: This information will be regularly updated according to the latest SAP grouping.
    • “Time Spent” field removed: this metric is no longer available due to inconsistencies in how time is tracked across various learning types and platforms.
  • Certification data update: certificates from deleted S-users are excluded
Only learners with valid S-user accounts are now included in the list of valid certificates. Customers may see a decrease in individual counts/KPIs for certified learners.
  • New field: "SAP S-User Status" (Certification data explorer and downloads)
Learning managers can use the "SAP S-User Status" field to identify expired learners, who are at risk of getting deleted. When an S-user is deleted, the learner's certificates are removed from the valid certificates KPIs in the analytics dashboard. Certification activities such as exam attempts will still be visible in the "Explore Data" and "Certifications Data" download sections. The learner status appears as either "Active" (not at risk of being deleted), "Expired" (at risk of being deleted in the next three months) or "Deleted" (unable to be reactivated). For more information about the S-user lifecycle and how to avoid deletion, read SAP’s S-user Lifetime.
  • "Last Assessment Date" field update
The "Last Assessment Date" column displayed the date of the base certification, even if a more recent delta certification was completed. This field now shows the date of your most recent assessment. You can now see up-to-date information on your certification status and upcoming renewal deadline.
  • "New Certificates" calculation update
Previously, the “Net New Certificates” KPI counted the first certification attempt, even if it wasn't passed. As a result, sometimes certificates were shown in the wrong month or time range. Now, only certificates where the exam result is “Passed” are included in the "New Certificates" calculation, ensuring certificates are counted in the month that they're earned.
  • "Country/Region" grouping update
On both dashboard pages, the "Country/Region" grouping has been updated. Dashboard users may see new "SAP Region" names or some "Countries/Regions" appearing under different hierarchy nodes than before.
