Editing Options for Audit Details and a Work Program

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe options to edit audit attributes, a team and a work program on the audit execution phase.

Editing an Audit During the Execution Phase

Attributes Editable by the Auditor Role

Auditors can change some of audit attributes that are available for editing on the execution phase in the My Ongoing Audits app. Not all attributes are available for editing, for example, planned time period, estimated cost, audit type, audit group and so on, cannot be edited in the execution phase by auditors. Refer to the screenshot to have an overview of attributes available for editing by auditors.

Attributes Editable by the Manager Role

An audit manager can change available for editing audit attributes and an audit team for an audit in the execution phase using the Track Ongoing Audits app. Refer to the following screenshot to have an overview of attributes available for editing by the audit manager.

Reopening a Work Program

The Work Program structure cannot be edited whilst an audit has the In Execution status. To add new work packages to a work program or new procedures to existing work packages, an audit team should reopen the work program in the My Ongoing Audits app. After reopening, the audit will be sent to the Prepare Audits app where the audit lead can add new work packages and new procedures to existing work packages in the work program, edit the audit team, edit some of attributes, edit lists of auditable items, risks, organizations, processes, and dimensions of the audit.

After performing necessary changes, the audit lead submits the work program to an audit manager if work program approval workflow is enabled for an audit type of this audit. When the audit manager approves the work program, the audit obtains the In Execution status, and the audit team can continue to work on the audit.

Monitoring Audit Activity

An audit team can review the entire audit history: who initiated the audit, approved it, changed attributes, and so on, using the Activities section of the audit.
