Exploring the Quick Qualification

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe characteristics of the Quick Qualification

Quick Qualification

The Quick Qualification is the starting point for partners and SAP internals. Based on the high-level data entered here, the Digital Discovery Assessment (DDA) will provide initial guidance as to which SAP S/4HANA Cloud solution (Public or Private) is recommended.

The information captured includes:

  • Customer information
    • Name
    • CRM opportunity/Deal ID number
    • Country where the contract will be signed
    • Industry and industry segment of the customer
  • SAP Business Suite scope
    • Financial Management (Cloud ERP)
    • Spend Management (Travel and Expense Management, Sourcing and Procurement)
    • Supply Chain Management (Planning, Manufacturing)
    • Human Capital Management (HR Core, Payroll and Reimbursement, Time Management)
    • Customer Experience (Sales, Service)
    • Technology Platform (Integration, Data and Analytics)
  • Cloud ERP information
    • Countries in-scope
    • Two-tier ERP scenario
    • Existing (installed base) customer or new-new customer
    • New implementation or system conversion

Launching the Quick Qualification

The Quick Qualification can be launched from three different areas:

  • Supply Chain of Selling app in the Digital Discovery Assessment platform.
  • Harmony for SAP internals, where the Quick Qualification data is pre-filled based on the data already entered in Harmony.
  • Partner Deal Registration Tool for SAP partners, where the Quick Qualification data is pre-filled based on the data already entered in the Partner Deal Registration Tool.

Initial Guidance from the Quick Qualification

After completing the Quick Qualification, the initial guidance will display, and you move forward to complete the Detailed Discovery with the customer decision makers you are working with. Invite your customer to the Detailed Discovery with the Invite button in the top right corner.

Please note, the initial guidance may change after the Detailed Discovery is completed. For example, the Quick Qualification starts with a preference for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, but if technical customer requirements are entered in the Detailed Discovery that are not supported in Public Edition, the recommendation will change to Private Edition. This automated recommendation is also reviewed by an SAP internal expert called a Brand Guardian to ensure the best-fit solution is recommended to the customer.

If a customer already has SAP ERP software and requires a system conversion for their Cloud ERP, the only suitable solution is SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, as only this solution allows a system conversion.

BOM Mismatch in the Quick Qualification

Because the Quick Qualification pre-populates data from Harmony (SAP internals) or the Partner Deal Registration Tool (SAP partners), it will show the list of SKUs you have already selected on the Bill of Material (BOM) for your customer.

SAP's strategy is to match customers with the public cloud solutions that best fit their needs whenever possible. If you find a BOM Mismatch in the Alignment column, it means you have an SKU of an on premise or private cloud solution, where the Digital Discovery Assessment and/or a Brand Guardian has determined that a public cloud solution would be a better fit. To resolve this, select the SKU of the appropriate public cloud solution and the BOM Mismatch message will change to Aligned.
