Importing Budget Items

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to execute the steps to import additional budget items.

Introduction

Budget Item Import allows you to add and update the Expense, Invoice, and Request budget items by importing an Excel spreadsheet (on demand), saving time and reducing manual effort.

How to Import Additional Budget Items

Follow these steps to import additional budgets. We'll walk you through each part of the process, complete with detailed instructions and screenshots to help you along the way.

Once you complete these steps, a demo video will be available to reinforce what you've learned and provide a quick recap.

Steps

  1. On the Budget Items tab, select the More dropdown menu. Choose Import.

  2. Select Download Import Template, or select Send to Excel for existing budgets.

  3. Populate and save the budget import template file.

    Note

    The columns labeled in red are mandatory to fill.
  4. Choose Upload Budget Import File to browse for and select the completed file.

  5. Review the results under the Upload History section.
