Removing Budget Items

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to execute the steps to remove budget items.

Introduction

When managing budgets, you may need to remove budget items that are no longer needed, such as test budgets. There are two ways to do this:

  • Manual Removal - Remove budget items directly from the Budget Items tab. Simply select the budget, choose the Remove button, and confirm the deletion.
  • Bulk Removal via Excel - Use this method to efficiently remove multiple budgets at once.

How to Remove Budget Items

Follow these steps to bulk remove budgets. We'll walk you through each part of the process, complete with detailed instructions and screenshots to help you along the way.

Steps

  1. On the Budget Items tab, select the Send to Excel button. An Excel file containing all created budget items will download.

  2. Confirm the budget items to remove. In column O (Field Name: DELETE BUDGET ITEMS Y/N), enter "Y" for each budget item to be removed. Save the completed file.

  3. On the Budget Items tab, select the More dropdown menu. Choose Import.

  4. Browse and select the completed and saved Excel file. Choose Upload Budget Import File.

  5. Review the results under the Upload History section.
