Composable Storefront Updates

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to identify updates to the Composable Storefront

Composable Storefront Angular 19 and Node.js 22 Updates

You must update to the latest composable storefront version that includes Angular 19 and Node.js 22. This usually requires testing and refactoring due to the removal of deprecated code in Angular and associated updates in composable storefront.

For more information about the updates and the configuration steps, see Update Release 2211.36.

Composable Storefront Accessibility Update

Composable storefront core features will adhere to 90% or more of the accessibility requirements. These improvements have been released throughout 2024 by using feature toggles that were deactivated by default. Starting in 2025, these toggles will be activated.

To be compliant with accessibility standards, you may want to activate these features earlier. You must test and adjust your storefronts to accommodate these accessibility features. To maintain the high percentage of compliance, you must make sure all custom UI components also comply. Compliance is not an automated task but is related to the HTML and JS implementations.
