Executing the Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run Phases

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to design an optimized process and trace its implementation from requirements through testing.

Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run

With the plan in place, it's time to execute.

Building on your initial plan, this lesson dives into the detailed design and execution of your transformation initiative. You take on three critical roles to ensure a successful outcome.

As a Business Process Owner (Using SAP Signavio):

Design the ideal "to-be" process model to define the future state of business operations.

As an IT Project Manager (Using SAP Cloud ALM):

  • Manage project execution using the SAP Activate Roadmap for tasks, quality gates, and checklists.
  • Confirm the readiness of the solution process for implementation.

As an Enterprise Architect (Using SAP LeanIX):

Visualize the future solution architecture by applying BTP reference templates to show how the extension works.

Course Summary

Congratulations! You have successfully completed the N3C transformation case study.

You have now experienced firsthand how the integrated SAP toolchain provides a seamless, data-driven approach to managing complex business transformations from strategy to execution.

  • Sprint 1 (Discover): You acted as a Business Process Owner in SAP Signavio to find a problematic process (Procure to Receipt) and then as an Enterprise Architect in SAP LeanIX to identify the underlying technology risks (Procurify application).
  • Sprint 2 (Prepare): You defined the transformation initiative in SAP LeanIX and saw how it synchronized with SAP Cloud ALM, where you then explored the detailed project plan, timeline, and SAP Activate roadmap.
  • Sprint 3 (Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run): You designed the future-state process in SAP Signavio, then tracked its entire lifecycle in SAP Cloud ALM, from its status and documentation to open user stories and failed test cases.

You have successfully navigated from initial discovery to detailed execution tracking.
