Define Success Plan
The RISE with SAP – success plan is managed in SAP Cloud ALM and guides your journey. Project setup and roadmap selection are key initial steps in the RISE with SAP methodology. This process involves creating a new project based on predefined use cases. Then select the appropriate SAP Activate roadmap from the list depending on the type of project, such as:
- RISE with SAP Methodology – Clean Core Success Plan
- RISE with SAP Methodology – System Conversion
- RISE with SAP Methodology – Selective Data Transition
- RISE with SAP Methodology – Upgrade
- RISE with SAP Methodology – New Implementation

Each roadmap provides a structured approach tailored to different scenarios faced by organizations when adopting or transitioning to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, based on their specific needs and current ERP environment.
Access SAP Activate Methodology Implementation Roadmaps
Most activities are completed through SAP Cloud ALM, but the tasks and deliverables shown in SAP Cloud ALM are populated from the SAP Activate Roadmap for RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This is particularly relevant early in the Prepare phase of the implementation before the project is set up in SAP Cloud ALM, and can serve as a helpful reference during other phases to view all tasks and deliverables in one place.
