1. Set up your SAP Universal ID
Before starting your certification journey, make sure your SAP Universal ID is ready:
- Verify that you have at least two email accounts with different domains assigned.
- Watch the video or follow this step-by-step guide to link your accounts.
2. Purchase an SAP Learning Hub subscription or exam attempts
To take an SAP certification exam, you’ll need either an SAP Learning Hub subscription or an exam attempts purchase.
Choose the option that best fits your learning and certification goals:
- SAP Learning Hub subscription
Get four SAP Certification exam attempts per year, plus access to learning resources, enablement content, and assessment opportunities to help keep your certifications current and valid. - SAP Certification exam, two attempts
Receive two exam attempts, which can be used for certification in two different solution areas or for a retake in the same solution area if needed.

3. Choose your SAP certification
Find an SAP Certification tailored to your career goals, skill level, and SAP expertise: Explore available SAP Certifications.
Tip
Bookmark the exam details page for your chosen certification. You will return here to launch your exam.
4. Take your exam
- Via certification page: From the SAP Certification details page via “Go to Certification Exam”
- Via learning journey: Click the “Open” button.
On this page, you’ll find key details about your exam:
- Whether it includes system-based assessment or scenario-based assessment
- The exact time available to complete the exam.
- The number of attempts remaining for your certification and for your subscription.

Don't skip the basics! We recommend completing the learning journeys, even if you are experienced in any of the topic areas.5. Check your score
Score reports are available for SAP Certifications with a system-based assessment.
To access your score report, go to My Learnings > My Certifications and select the relevant certification.
If a score report is available, you can view and download it from there.
6. Get a digital badge
Upon passing your certification exam, you'll earn a digital badge that showcases your achievement and remains valid for 12 months.
The number of exam attempts available to you depends on your subscription or exam purchase option.

7. Stay Certified
You have a 12-month window to complete the necessary assessments to keep your certification current in the latest SAP innovations. Find more information on Get and stay certified page.
