The SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding solution is designed to provide a comprehensive and streamlined onboarding experience for customers. It offers simplified processes, administration, and experiences. Onboarding is built on an existing successful technology and aims to provide customers with a robust onboarding solution for the future. It streamlines configuration and administration, offers a consistent and engaging user experience, improves flexibility and extensibility, and reduces duplicate functionalities.
Major Benefits and Features of SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
- SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding is now fully integrated with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and is built on the SAP SuccessFactors platform. It now eliminates the need to map the new hire data to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
- Onboarding now aligns more effectively with the other applications that are part of the SAP SuccessFactors solution, making it easier for the new hires to get started with their goal settings.
- The user interface of Onboarding is now based on SAP Fiori user experience.
- The hiring manager tasks are replaced with a comprehensive onboarding tasks dashboard. This allows new hire progress to be tracked at a glance. Assignment of tasks in onboarding are handled through role-based permissions.
- Onboarding has more control and visibility to configure and administer processes, workflows, and custom forms.
- Features such as Personal/Custom Data Collection, New Hire Data Review, New Hire Tasks, Onboarding Dashboard, and e-Signature (both SAP Signature Management by DocuSign and SuccessFactors eSignature) are available to the new hires on a mobile device.
- New hires can now log in using the same user credentials for both the SAP SuccessFactors platform and Onboarding. A streamlined version of the home page is available and is security and permissions driven.
- Onboarding has a new notification framework built on Metadata Framework. In addition to this, business rules have replaced advanced conditions.
- Onboarding has a single process flow that uses rules to cover most of the onboarding scenarios. These can be turned on/off to activate some of the new hire tasks.
