Creating a Job Question

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to Create a Job Question in SAP Fieldglass..

Job Questions

When enabled in the company configuration, Job Questions can appear on Job Postings to help hiring managers gauge whether job candidates conform to certain requirements. Whereas Qualifications gauge the ability of a worker to perform specific job-related skills, job questions can be open-ended and help define a broader set of criteria, such as whether a job candidate requires regional work authorizations or has an advanced degree.

They are customized by the buyer and are intended for workers to answer, which also makes them distinct from the questions used in Wizards and Decision Forms.

Job Questions are only available when the Recruiter Toolbox for Direct Hire and Temp type of Job Posting/Position are selected on the Company Configuration.

Job Questions List page

The job question list, however, is just an ungrouped pool of questions. They cannot be added directly to Job Postings. They must be collected into job question checklists before they can be added to job posting templates.

2Job Question columns displays the text of the question. This is the text that would display to job candidates if it was used on a Job Posting.
3Mandatory indicates that a job candidate would have to answer any questions that are set to Yes.
4The Answer Type column will indicate the specific type of answer a question requires, such as Yes or No, a 5-point rating, a picklist, or text input.
5To view the details of a question, select an appropriate link in the Job Question column.

Job Question Details page

The details page displays the same data visible on the list view.

6The Pick List Items section only appears if the answer type is a User Defined Pick List. These answers are defined when creating/editing the job question.

Create a Job Question

When filling positions on her network engineering team, Mavis would like candidates to list their skills in various aspects of network design.

She has provided you with a number of questions to add to network engineering job postings.

Before you can do that, though, you’ll first need to create the Job Questions themselves.
