Qualification Category

Qualifications are the characteristics or skills needed or requested for specific positions. Qualification Categories are classifications of individual qualifications, used to group the qualifications for use in job postings. Where qualifications are specific characteristics or skills required for a position, qualification categories are broader buckets into which the specific qualifications are placed.

For example, WAN/LAN interfacing is a specific skill Mavis requires on her team. That qualification is a part of the broader networking qualification category.

Qualification Categories make it easier to find Qualifications when creating Job Postings or SOWs.

Navigating the Qualification Category Admin Object

1	To view a list of qualification categories associated to the tenant, select Qualification Category from the Worker section of the admin menu.

Qualification Category List page

The name of a checklist usually reflects its purpose, and often contains a fuller description of its contents. For instance, a Networking category might contain qualifications that will help hiring managers at WorkingNet determine if a job seeker is qualified to design and implement data networks and install networking equipment.

2	Qualifications indicates the number of individual qualifications contained within the category. Selecting a number in this column will take you directly to the list of qualifications associated to the respective category.
3	To view the details of a qualification category, select an appropriate link in the Name column.

Qualification Category Details page

A qualification category requires few characteristics: the name of the category and an optional description. Since it is a data object that is used primarily to establish associations, the Qualifications tile in the associations tree displays the important information about the qualification category.

Create a Qualification Category

As a manufacturer of networking equipment, WorkingNet requires their employees and external workers to be certified to install and configure their products.

Mavis wants to ensure that her Job Posting includes a WorkingNet certification qualification.

As the administrator of SAP Fieldglass for WorkingNet, it falls to you to add the appropriate qualification to the qualification category.
