Automatic Creation of Reservations

As we are talking about an integrated system, reservations should be created automatically from the used logistics areas like production, enterprise asset management, and project system processing.

Let’s assume you require a certain material in a maintenance asset order for the repair of a functional object. When you include the material (stock material) in the item of the asset maintenance order, the system will generate a reservation for this material. The reservation is created immediately, and depending on the settings in the order, the reservation will become relevant for MRP upon the creation or latest at the release of the order.

This way of processing is relevant for all logistics orders. This can be done in production orders, in networks as well as in maintenance asset work orders, like mentioned.

Process Automatically Created Reservations

Automatically created reservations can be processed like manually created ones. During the goods issue posting, you can use the reservation number or the order number that was responsible for creating the reservation.

Automatically created reservations can not be deleted directly. To delete a reservation, you need to delete the component assigned in the responsible order that generated the corresponding reservation.
